NYC Midnight Submissions
NYC Midnight is an organization that puts on multiple creative writing challenges throughout the year under tight deadlines.
Found below are various stories I've submitted accordingly and, when relevant, I've noted the prompts and length requirements I may have had to work with.
Sfumato -- A young artist, growing disillusioned from his work as he grows more popular, disconnects himself to gain perspective.
Spilled Ink -- Two sailors encounter a horror at sea (flash fiction, 100 words).
Just Married -- A young couple find themselves in a diner (short fiction, 250 words)
Five of Cups -- When Havlen receives a conscription order from the recent usurper to the throne, he's forced into a race against time to decide what to do.
Overdrive -- After falling on hard times, an ex-bank robber turned Hollywood stunt driver returns to the skills he knows best to raise quick cash.
Blood In The Jungle -- When a daring rescue attempt at the height of the Vietnam war goes awry, a special forces soldier is left to reckon with the actions of himself and his fellow soldiers.
